More research is needed to get a conclusive answer, but some studies have suggested that eating a nutritious meal in the morning does help to kickstart your metabolism. Nutritious is the keyword here, as there’s obviously a big difference between eggs and donuts when it comes to a beneficial breakfast. It’s also been shown that going without breakfast is associated with a higher Body Mass Index. The weight aspect aside, most experts seem to be in favor of a well-balanced breakfast that includes protein, whole grain, and a fruit or vegetable.

However, the tagline "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" was actually coined by cereal companies as a marketing tactic, so it’s fair to be a little skeptical of breakfast’s supposed benefits. And what’s more, there’s some research to back up that skepticism—one recent review found no significant weight management benefits to eating breakfast.

"The key message is that if a person likes to eat breakfast, that is fine. However, there is no evidence that we should be encouraging people to change their eating pattern to include breakfast in order to prevent weight gain or obesity," Flavia Cicuttini, senior author of the review, said.

Look, I don't read questions and reaserch and come back and answer. I am not smart like you other people. I say what comes to mind. Ok. So one thing I don't get- What makes it so important? Let me answer. So what happens if you don't eat breakfast? do you just die from it? Nope. Like, my family can't eat breakfast because we get sick, good for getting out of school, not good cause of the barf. Look, breakfast isn't actually that important, because you can just eat a HUGE lunch that will help fill your stomach and it will feel much better. In conclusion, breakfast is good, but not too important

yes bc if it isnt for breakfest u wouldnt want to do anything at school or a work. Your brain would not work as well without breakfest.

well breakfast sould be because if your one of those people who are work'n at night and come home in morning it sould be to you but if you just relax at home playing video games that means that you will be busy and not realize you never ate breakfast so that's how people say dinner is the most important meal of the day or lunch because they never ate breakfast

Every meal is the most important meal of the day. Most meal are not digested untill one goes to sleep. I would not eat before exercising in the morning. But after morning exercise. A small meal is good. Eating has a sedation effect on the body. So you don't want to eat to much in the morning after you wake up. It just important not to eat 2 hours before sleeping. In the morning juices and protiens are probably the best. Cereals with more grain no sugar are ok. like oat meal. and Grits. Most people were not hunter gathers but fisherman and gathers back in the old days. Human had to be close to water all the time. Most humans had to live around rivers and lakes. So in human evolution most people would eat between 10 am and 2 pm. Humans were very large people back in early evolution. That the only thing that would explain human survival. Sense humans develope so slow and few off spring suggest survival rate were pretty high. It was probable important for them to do there work early in morning. So the most improtant meal is probably lunch 10 am and 2 pm

Breakfast is often describe the most important meal of the day because when you wakeup in the morning you need more calories for energy, so you can take heavey or nutritious food in your breakfast everyday. Which is gives you more energy. you feel strong.

If you follow a breafast/lunch/supper paradigm each is pretty much equal except that you do need to got the motor started after a long sleep. But .... ... we are forced by Societal choices into a poor model. We are meant to eat when we are hungry and in multiple small amounts. Likelwise for sleep. Go to sleep when your body leads you to sleep and let your body wake you up (no alarms or wake-up calls).

Of course it is, having a good amount of healthy breakfast keeps us energised all day!
